100 Posts!

May 1, 2014

100 posts! A milestone, although not every post has been substantive and I started this blog with some pieces I’d already written and posted elsewhere. Alas, we won’t be too precise!

I don’t know whether you all enjoy my blog or not, but for the few of you who post comments, send me emails, or catch me here or there. I can tell you a few things, though:

First, no one who has “liked” my blog’s Facebook page has “unliked” it. You may be ignoring me, but you haven’t taken affirmative steps—at least not steps I know about—to get rid of me.

Second, readership seems to be up, if Google analytics are accurate and I’m reading them right. Two big ifs, but I’m “accentuating the positive, eliminating the negative, and not messing with Mr. In Between.”

Third, while I want my readership to grow, having a platform and the opportunity to write most every day pleases me. Certainly, I pay attention to my audience, and would like to have more readers, but I expect to continue writing even if only someone—one someone—reads what I’ve written.

I am ready to embark on a new project, and I’d like your help. For many years I’ve been fascinated by work, and how people work. Do you see people all day? Sit in meetings? Write? Exchange emails? Talk on the phone? Are your days programmed or open, or a mix? Do you have to account for your time?

There’s a lunch, cocktail, or cup of coffee in your future if you’ll give me a bit of your time and talk with me about your work day. (My nonprofit experience tells me there’s nothing like booze or food to fuel a conversation!) I only ask that you be open about sharing how your work day works, and that you give me permission to share your experiences in a blog post here at MarkRubinWrites.com. (I’m not interested, for this endeavor, in whether you like or don’t like your job; instead, I want to know how you do your job, and I want to be able to share that information!) If you are willing to participate please contact me at mrubin@mcrazlaw.com.  Note:  Retired people who want to share either retirement experiences, prior work experienced, or both, are welcomed.

Stay tuned for more posts! Comments welcomed always, and thanks for reading!!!

P.S. If you enjoy my blog, please share the link with your friends/Friends. You can tell someone about the website, invite people to like MarkRubinWrites on Facebook, or share a post. Finally, I’d be delighted to have a guest blogger from time to time, so if you’ve got something on your mind, I’ve got a bullhorn!
