250 Posts for Mark Rubin Writes!

November 29, 2014

Two hundred and fifty posts! (If you count up, you’ll see more than 250 posts. Some pre-date Mark Rubin Writes, while others are non-substantive, like this one.)

I’m delighted! I hope you have enjoyed reading my writing. Honestly, almost every moment of the writing has been truly pleasurable. I’m thrilled by every comment I receive:  those which are posted here and on Facebook; and the ones I receive by email, by phone, or in person. I even get a kick out of the Google and Facebook analytics, telling me 2, 3, or 10 more people have read or liked a piece since the last time I checked.

Milestones are funny things; they have proved to me that we live in a decimal-based world. And they’re mostly meaningless, except for the fact that they provide opportunities to celebrate. So today we celebrate at Mark Rubin Writes!

You are, perhaps, thinking “why didn’t I get the party invite?” Alas, the celebration is quiet and contemplative. For all of the pleasure I’ve gotten so far, I know I haven’t done the hard work associated with blogging:  getting readers! That said, there’s a milestone approaching, and with it resolutions, promises, etc.!

No changes on the horizon for those of you who get my email message most mornings, with a post, or those of you who find me on Facebook. (I hope the five-day-a-week thing is working. It seems comfortable to me.) Thank you, all, for providing me with a forum to spout off, and a base which is big enough to make me keep going. Your presence has allowed me to be so indulgent with my words, and for that I am really most appreciative!

P.S. If someone out there among my readership understands tags, SEO, plug-ins, and other basics associated with web-stuff and wants to provide a brief tutorial, I’m buying at the Wifi-enabled establishment of your choosing, for I have learned enough to know I can get some more readers without hard work, if only I can better understand basics like the ones I referenced. That said, the “for dummies” stuff on the web leaves me adrift at sea.

P.P.S. Here’s a bit of eye candy for you!
